Japanese Navy Landing Force 3 Button Jacket

Imperial Japanese Naval Landing Force (NLF) wool gabardine jacket—an authentic 1940‑model officer or petty officer pattern in “salty” combat‑used condition. This is the elusive three‑button NLF jacket with its original features intact.
The jacket retains its sewn‑in arsenal issue label, still present but too faded to make out the date—consistent with heavy early‑war use and laundering. The wool gabardine body shows the expected wear of a garment that saw real service, including a small tear on the right arm and another on the left side at waist level. There is also period repair stitching at the nape of the neck, a classic field fix.
The upper back near the neck shows minor staining. All original buttons remain present, firmly attached and matching throughout. Early‑issue NLF uniforms are notoriously difficult to find, and examples of the three‑button pattern in genuine combat condition are even more elusive.
