Japanese Navy Type III Seaman’s Combat Cap

Japanese Navy Seaman’s Type III Cap. Later war Type III (green) combat cap with earlier Type I insignia. Late war manufacturers used surplus Type I insignia ( yellow anchor on black) due to supply shortages. The cap is heavily worn and faded with no holes, some minor stains (blood? typical US Vet bring back). No arsenal label is visible on interior, most likely the stamped tag is faded out.
